About Us

Our Story & Mission

Connecting the original Hebrew Israelites from Africa who were exiled around the world to their Hebraic roots and teachings since our founding.

Our Mission

Rooted in Torah, Walking in Faith

The mission of First Tabernacle Fellowship is to connect the original Hebrew Israelites from Africa who were exiled around the world to their Hebraic roots and teachings. We fellowship with like-minded believers who are looking for a faith community where the whole Word of Elohim is studied and lived out in a Torah community.

We are Hebraic and not Judaic in biblical foundation and understanding. We believe that every Scripture is supportive; the embodied work of Genesis to 2 Chronicles in the Hebrew Bible.

We do not teach a doctrine that contains heresy. Since the opening of the superhighway called the ‘World Wide Web,’ knowledge and information has increased at warp speed. With that, all kinds of information are now available, but none so important as that which is applicable to our faith.

Core Values

What We Stand For

Hebraic Scripture

We teach and adhere to Hebraic Scripture as a way of life, believing that the Prophets and Writings are inclusive of all Scripture.

Yisra'el United

We teach that Yisra'el in the mind of the Father consists of people from the nations who adhere to the Scriptures, also known as the Tanakh.

Love Thy Neighbor

We shall love all peoples as the Father's created likeness in an image worthy of Himself, and therefore, love thy neighbor as thyself.

Statement of Beliefs

What We Believe

As a Hebraic community, our beliefs are grounded in the Torah and the entirety of Scripture.

We believe in adhering to ALL of Yahweh's mitzvoths (commandments), the Father's Appointed Times (Sabbaths and moadims), and right-rulings while walking in 'The Way.'

We believe in the Torah, some of which was written by The Father's own hand (Sh'mot 24:12 and 34:1).

We accept the covenant relationship offered to us by the Father. Therefore, we obey Yahweh's commandments and teachings.

We believe that all of the Goyim (the nations) who are willing to be obedient to Yahweh's teachings will hear His Words and warnings.

We believe that the Torah is the foundation of all Scripture and the writings also support this foundation.

We believe that all Scripture (Genesis to 2 Chronicles in the Hebrew Bibles) is inspired, inerrant, infallible, illuminating, and authoritative.

Leadership

Our Spiritual Leader

Moreh Robert B. Holman, Jr. — Spiritual Leader of First Tabernacle Fellowship

Moreh | Robert B. Holman, Jr.

Spiritual Leader

Moreh Holman has led First Tabernacle Fellowship since its inception in September 1994. He is a native of Sacramento, graduating from Sacramento High School, attending Sacramento City College and the University of Nevada, Reno, where he studied Business Administration and Secondary Education.

He worked for the state of California in numerous capacities and, in the year 2000, retired after 27 years of service to answer YAHWEH’s call to full-time ministry.

Moreh Holman comes from a family of pastors. His grandfather, the late District Elder Thomas Holman, founded Crist Temple Apostolic Church in Sacramento, California. Moreh Holman learned to minister and care for people under the mentorship of his late father, District Elder Robert B. Holman, Sr.

At twenty years of age, Moreh Holman was called to the ministry to preach and to teach YAHWEH’s Word. He served in the ministry his father pastored for more than thirty years; there, he oversaw the music ministry and developed one of the best choirs in Northern California. He later became the 3rd Minister of Music in the history of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World for the International Pentecostal Young People’s Union.

Over the years, Moreh Holman has observed the dynamics of social, economic, and cultural change. These changes, along with the promptings of the Set-Apart Spirit, have led him to lead a congregation that reflects the Hebraic teaching of the Scriptures: the Torah, the Writings, and the Prophets.

While teaching from Exodus 31, he understood what the Set-Apart Spirit wanted him to see—that the Sabbath was a perpetual covenant established by YAHWEH for YAHWEH’s people. With this truth in mind, in January 2006, just twelve years after the ministry’s inception, Moreh Holman directed the ministry to return to YAHWEH Elohim’s commands by honoring the Sabbath and adhering to the commandments and the Hebraic Scriptures. Since “Truth matters,” Moreh Holman has helped many people get their spiritual lives in order by dealing straight-forwardly with the Word of YAHWEH Elohim.

Moreh Holman believes that these are the times when The Creator, Blessed be YAHWEH, calls YAHWEH’s people to return to the Torah.

“I study it; research it historically, scientifically, and spiritually for an understanding and truth. I love life and living, having fun, playing golf, and being with family and friends. Scripture says, ‘but if in this life only we have hope we are of all men most miserable.’ I also know that one day it will all come to an end. For me, being physically dead does not constitute an end but the continuation of the existence of life through the soul as it awaits final judgment. The only way and time I can prepare for it is now.”
